By completing this qualification, you’ll also be opening up opportunities as a fitness professional across South-East Asia and around the world, including a potential pathway to work in Australia.
The Certified Personal Trainer course is completed as a combination of online study and practical placement within a suitably equipped fitness facility.

The online component of the course includes access to an extensive range of learning resources including interactive presentations, videos and reference materials. You can contact our student support team as often as you like if you require assistance.
Throughout your course you complete practical work in a fitness centre or PT facility to gain experience, perfect your skills and link with employers.
The course is assessed via the practical placement, written short answers and online quizzes.

There are 8 study areas in the Certificate as follows:
At the end of each module, you’ll need to complete a multiple-choice quiz (90% pass mark) to demonstrate your understanding of the topic before progressing to the next.
Within several topics, there is also the requirement to complete case studies, which aim to assess your ability to design appropriate exercise programs for a range of clients with a variety of fitness goals and needs.
Towards the end of your course, you are also required to complete 25 hours of Practical Placement in an approved fitness centre or personal training studio under the supervision of an experienced, practicing personal trainer.
Practical Placement helps develop your instructional skills, ability to identify/correct exercise techniques and provide customer service to clients. An evaluation from your supervisor forms a component of your practical placement assessment.
Only upon completing all of the quizzes, case studies and Practical Placement will you be issued the qualification.
There is also a requirement to complete a Standard First Aid (SFA) qualification as part of the Certified Personal Trainer course. The SFA will need to be approved by the Singapore Resuscitation & First Aid Council (SRFAC), please visit their directory of Training Centres when selecting an approved course/provider: https://srfac.sg/directory/training-centre/
